Our aim is to deliver an excellent return for our shareholders, whilst making a positive contribution towards the UK’s challenging renewable energy obligation to generate at least 15% of its energy from renewable sources by 2020.
Global warming is the still the planet's biggest environmental threat, responsible for severe and unpredictable weather patterns and ever-increasing natural disasters and environmental change to the earth.
Renewable energy offers the greatest potential to make a difference to future energy generation. The cost of solar power is also reducing all the time and with the addition of Solar Thermal to the energy mix delivers a stable and profitable revenue stream for investors.
PCRE has defined a new way to develop solar projects, which might otherwise have stalled following the withdrawal of Feed in Tariff ("FiT") subsidy for PV projects. We have identified excellent opportunities for the installation of solar PV/Thermal ("PVT") in England & Wales and have secured a number of sites that we will bring into operation during the next 12 months.
PCRE will focus on the construction and management of solar energy projects in the UK, we are independent and not owned by a utility or tied to a manufacturer, so we are able to work innovatively to create the best generation solutions for our sites. This flexible approach ensures that we can tailor the projects to our investors' and stakeholders' needs as we continue to develop our renewable energy portfolio.
